German cybersecurity company Hornetsecurity has agreed to acquire French email security provider Altospam. The company stated, "This latest acquisition would complement Hornetsecurity’s strategy to provide European-built cybersecurity solutions to businesses and organizations worldwide, and would further expand the group’s French expertise and footprint following its acquisition of Vade Secure in France last year."
Tysons, Virginia-based cybersecurity advisory firm MOXFIVE has acquired Texas-based digital forensics and incident response provider modePUSH. The company stated, "This acquisition builds on MOXFIVE's growth investment from Falfurrias Management Partners in August 2024, reinforcing the company's long-term strategy to expand technical capabilities and scale a SaaS platform-driven incident response across its ecosystem of partners and clients."

Florida-headquartered security operations platform provider ReliaQuest has raised $500 million in a funding round led by EQT, KKR, and FTV Capital, with participation from existing investors Ten Eleven Ventures and Finback Investment Partners. The investment brings the company's valuation to $3.4 billion. The company says the funding "will support ReliaQuest’s continued growth, fueling further innovation in Agentic AI-driven cybersecurity automation and supporting the company’s ongoing international expansion."
Canadian secure networking platform provider Tailscale has raised $160 million USD ($230 million CAD) in a Series C round led by Accel, with participation from CRV, Insight Partners, Heavybit, and Uncork Capital. The company stated, "We're going to grow our engineering and product teams to unlock more markets faster. We're also investing further in our free support for free customers promise and our backward compatibility forever platform."
Palo Alto, California-based data security firm Cyberhaven has raised $100 million in a Series D round led by StepStone Group, with participation from Schroders and Industry Ventures. The company says it plans to use the funding "to expand its platform through both M&A and organic innovation, increase its market reach through aggressive go-to-market investments, and continue its mission to protect the world's most sensitive data."
Santa Clara, California-based AI application monitoring company Aurascape has emerged from stealth with $50 million in funding led by Mayfield Fund, Menlo Ventures, and others. The company says its "introduction to the market arrives amid strong company growth and the general availability of its AI Activity Control platform."
New York-based security awareness training company Adaptive Security has raised $43 million in a funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and the OpenAI Startup Fund, with participation from Abstract Ventures, Eniac Ventures, CrossBeam Ventures, and K5. The company says the funding "will accelerate Adaptive's development of solutions to defend against AI-powered social engineering attacks."
Austin, Texas-based zero trust access control company Portnox has secured $37.5 million in a Series B round led by Updata Partners. The company says the funding "will be used to accelerate product innovation, expand market reach, and further empower resource-constrained security teams with accessible, enterprise-grade zero trust security."
Israeli governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platform provider Anecdotes has added $30 million to its Series B round, bringing its total Series B funding to $55 million. The new funding was led by DTCP. The company stated, "Anecdotes will use this capital to accelerate the development of its AI-powered GRC automation solutions, expand its global go-to-market strategy, and strengthen strategic alliances with leading industry partners, including the Big Four firms, Coalfire, Schellman, Google Cloud, and ServiceNow. The funding will also support the expansion of Anecdotes' Managed Service Provider (MSP) program, making its innovative GRC solutions more accessible to businesses worldwide."
Canberra-headquartered quantum-based encryption company QuintessenceLabs has raised $20 million in a funding round led by the Australian government's National Reconstruction Fund. The company says the investment "accelerates our product roadmap and strengthens our business development in key global markets."
Washington, DC-based machine-to-machine security firm Corsha has raised $18 million in a Series A-1 funding round led by SineWave Ventures, with participation from Razor's Edge Ventures and Ten Eleven Ventures. The company plans to use the funding to expand its go-to-market team, launch a physical and digital research space, and scale the use of AI in its products.
San Francisco-headquartered smart contract security firm Octane has emerged from stealth with $6.75 million in seed funding led by Archetype and Winklevoss Capital, with participation from Gemini, Circle, Legion Capital, Druid Ventures, and Duke Capital Partners. The company says it will "use the funds to increase product development velocity, expand their team, mass label vulnerability data, and get their platform into the hands of every developer building in crypto."
San Francisco-based cloud security firm Prowler has added $6.5 million to its seed round, bringing its total seed financing to $12.5 million. The investment was led by Decibel VC, with participation from SNR and IrregEx, and will be used to advance product innovation.
Austin, Texas-based vulnerability management firm Spektion has emerged from stealth with $5 million in seed funding led by LiveOak Ventures, with participation from Tau Ventures and Dauntless Ventures.
