Canadian threat exposure management company Flare has acquired Maryland-based data exposure company Foretrace. Flare CEO Norman Menz stated, "Bringing Foretrace into the Flare family further broadens our capabilities for collecting emergent threat data while also deepening our expertise, ensuring that we can be in a great position to lead the way in [threat exposure management]."
The company added, "As part of the deal, Flare also announced that Foretrace founding executives Nick Ascoli and Matt Mosley will be joining the company as Senior Product Strategist and VP of Strategic Partnerships respectively."
Investments and exits.
New York-based SME cybersecurity firm Coro has secured $100 million in a Series D round led by One Peak, with participation from existing investors Energy Impact Partners and Balderton Capital. The company says the funding will be used to fuel product innovation, empower channel partners, and accelerate global expansion.
New York and Israel-based risk mitigation startup Zafran has emerged from stealth with $30 million in a funding round led by Sequoia Capital and Cyberstarts, with participation from Cerca Partners and Penny Jar. Doug Leone, Partner at Sequoia Capital, stated, "We are excited to support the company as it enters the next phase of accelerated growth, with a visionary platform that proactively reduces risk exposure at scale and has the potential to redefine industry standards."
Palo Alto, California-based data privacy company Skyflow has raised $30 million in a Series B extension led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from existing investors Mouro Capital, Foundation Capital, and Canvas Ventures.
Los Angeles-headquartered software supply chain security firm Binarly has raised $10.5 million in a seed funding round led by Two Bear Capital, with participation from Blu Ventures, Canaan Partners, Cisco Investments, and Liquid 2 Ventures. The company says it "will use the investment to further expand its world-class engineering team, and scale enterprise and device manufacturer adoption of its technologies."
Menlo Park, California-based data security company Bedrock Security has secured $10 million in seed funding led by Greylock.
San Francisco-based security analytics management startup Abstract Security has emerged from stealth with $8.5 million in seed funding led by Crosslink Capital, Rally Ventures, and Liquid 2 Ventures.
Wisconsin-headquartered offensive security platform provider Sprocket Security has raised $8 million in a Series A round led by Blueprint Equity, with participation from Capital Midwest Fund. The company says the funding "will accelerate Sprocket’s platform development, fuel customer success, and expand sales and marketing initiatives."
Singapore-based dark web data intelligence company StealthMole has raised $7 million led by Korea Investment Partners (KIP), with participation from Hibiscus Fund and Smilegate Investment. The company says it "will be using this fresh injection of funds to strengthen its global expansion efforts, as well as further developing its technology use cases for various sectors."

Optiv has named John Hurley as its Chief Revenue Officer. Hurley previously served as CRO at Quantum.
iProov has hired Peter James as Chief Product Officer.
DirectDefense has appointed Patty Wright as the inaugural member of its advisory board. Wright most recently served as Vice President of CX Product Management, Security, and Collaboration at Cisco.
