Zscaler has acquired zero-trust security company Airgap Networks. Zscaler stated, "With this acquisition, Zscaler will combine its Zero Trust SD-WAN with Airgap to extend the Zero Trust Exchange to protect east-west traffic in branch offices, campuses, factories, and plants with critical OT infrastructure."
Florida-headquartered security awareness training company KnowBe4 is acquiring London-based cloud email security firm Egress. KnowBe4 CEO Stu Sjouwerman stated, "The future of security is personalized AI-driven controls and real-time coaching. By providing a single platform from KnowBe4 and Egress, our customers will benefit from differentiated aggregate threat detection to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats and foster a strong security culture."
Cloud security firm Commvault has acquired cloud cyber resilience company Appranix. Commvault stated, "The Appranix team will join Commvault imminently and the integration of Appranix's technology into Commvault's portfolio is expected to be completed by this summer. In the meantime, customers can leverage Appranix for their cloud application discovery and rebuild requirements, via the AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure marketplaces."
Identity and access security company BeyondTrust has acquired privilege management solution provider Entitle. The company stated, "BeyondTrust further solidifies its industry-leading Privilege Identity Security platform with the acquisition of Entitle, expanding beyond traditional privileged access management (PAM) to encompass dynamic, just-in-time access management across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments. Adding Entitle to its product portfolio enhances the capability to address the sophisticated challenges of PAM and cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM) in today's cloud-centric landscape, with a unified orchestration approach that enriches the platform with advanced identity governance functionalities."
Investments and exits.
Florida-based zero-trust security firm ThreatLocker has secured $115 million in a Series D round led by General Atlantic, with participation from StepStone Group and the D. E. Shaw group. The company stated, "With the new investment, ThreatLocker® will continue to focus on driving product innovation to bring the power of Zero Trust security to more organizations and accelerating the company’s global expansion."
Multi-data platform SIEM provider Anvilogic has raised $45 million in a Series C round led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from existing investors Foundation Capital, Cervin Ventures, Myriad Ventures, Point72 Ventures, Outpost Ventures, Stepstone Group, and G Squared. The company says it "will use the funding to expand its generative AI features for additional use cases across the entire Security Operations Center (SOC) lifecycle and scale up its go-to-market efforts."
Israeli virtual CISO platform provider Cynomi has raised $20 million in Series A funding led by Canaan, with participation from existing investors Flint, S16V, and Aloniq. The company stated, "This funding round will help us scale our operations internationally, further enhance our platform, bring awareness to its capabilities, and deepen our engagement with partners."
Third-party API security company Vorlon has raised $15.7 million in a Series A round led by Accel, with participation from Shield Capital. The company stated, "Vorlon is hiring in all departments as they seek to support the demand for their platform from security teams at enterprises and large public organizations."
Cyber incident response management platform BreachRx has raised $6.5 million in a seed round led by SYN Ventures, with participation from Overline. The company says it "plans to use the new funding to scale its go-to-market and engineering teams."
API security firm NightVision has secured $5.4 million in seed funding from undisclosed investors.
Security automation startup Amplifier Security has emerged from stealth with $3.3 million in pre-seed funding from Cota Capital, with participation from Westwave Capital, Shift Left Ventures, and angel investors.
