CRN reports that San Jose, California-based cybersecurity firm Zscaler is in negotiations to acquire Israeli data security startup Avalor for $300 million.
South Carolina-headquartered managed service provider VC3 has acquired DominionTech, an IT services provider operating in Vermont and New Hampshire. The company stated, "By acquiring this highly reputed regional company, VC3 significantly expands its presence in New England."
Investments and exits.
Israeli identity protection startup Silverfort has raised $116 million in a Series D round led by Brighton Park Capital, with participation from existing investors Acrew Capital, Greenfield Partners, Citi Ventures, General Motors Ventures, Maor Investments, Vintage Investment Partners, and Singtel Innov8. The company says it "intends to grow its global team, already located across more than 15 countries, and will use the additional funds to expand its platform with new innovative product modules and accelerate its go-to-market strategy with an emphasis on channel partnerships."
Security hyperautomation company Torq has secured $42 million in an extension to its Series B round, CTech reports. The extension was led by Insight Partners, GGV Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greenfield Partners, and Evolution Equity Partners.
Seattle-based identity and access management firm Oleria has raised $33 million in a Series A round led by Evolution Equity Partners with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Tapestry VC, and Zscaler. The company says the "funding round enables Oleria to ramp up hiring to accelerate its product innovation, including AI capabilities, as well as its go-to-market strategy."
Vulnerability remediation platform provider Vicarius has raised $30 million in a Series B round led by Bright Pixel Capital, with participation from AllegisCyber Capital, AlleyCorp and Strait Capital, TechCrunch reports.
