New York-headquartered cloud security company Wiz is acquiring Israeli cloud remediation startup Dazz for $450 million, TechCrunch reports. Wiz stated, "With Dazz’s industry-leading remediation engine, we can empower security teams to correlate data from multiple sources and manage application risks in one unified platform."
Massachusetts-based IT management company N-able has acquired security operations platform provider Adlumin. The company stated, "Building upon Adlumin's and N-able's existing proven partnership providing extended detection and response (XDR) capabilities and managed detection and response (MDR) services, the acquisition will allow N-able to incorporate Adlumin's innovative technology with N-able's industry-leading platform that combines security, unified endpoint management, and data protection solutions."
Investments and exits.
San Francisco-based API security company Kong has raised $175 million in a Series E round led by Tiger Global and new investor Balderton, with participation from Teachers’ Venture Growth, 137 Ventures, Founders Circle, StepStone, and existing investors including Index Ventures, a16z, CRV, Sapphire Ventures, and Notable Capital. The funding brings the company's valuation to $2 billion. Kong stated, "We’re accelerating on our mission with this new funding, and investing in a few key areas: increasing product innovation to enhance our unified API platform, expanding the footprint of our API runtimes (such as AI Gateway), advancing Insomnia and AI-infused applications, while continuing to support our widely loved open-source projects. We’re also leaning in on global expansion with new GTM investments to span our growing customer base from new markets, such as Japan and India. And we’ll keep adding new world-class talent in every function across Kong."
Palo Alto, California-based security compliance firm Trustero has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Bright Pixel Capital (formerly Sonae IM), with participation from existing investors Engineering Capital, Zetta Ventures Partners, and Vertex Ventures US. Trustero says "[t]he new capital will be instrumental in driving Trustero’s development of more powerful and accurate AI for security and compliance, scaling operations, expanding market reach, and adding top-tier talent from AI engineering and GRC."
Swiss identity and authentication management company Zitadel has raised $9 million in a Series A round led by Nexus Ventures, with participation from existing investor Floodgate. The company says the funding "will enable us to accelerate development and bring Zitadel to even more organizations."
Swiss generative AI governance startup Calvin Risk has secured $4 million in a seed round led by Join Capital and seed + speed Ventures. The company says the funding "will accelerate Calvin Risk's product development, enabling it to scale its platform, enhance its AI risk assessment tools, and expand its market reach across Europe."
