Tennessee-headquartered breach recovery company Fenix24 has acquired North Carolina-based attack surface mapping firm appNovi. The company stated, "This strategic acquisition complements Fenix24's recent acquisition of vArmour and further bolsters the company's capabilities in providing market-leading resiliency, including business continuity, assured recoverability, and rapid recovery, through a single pane of glass across core infrastructure, security applications, and cloud/SaaS environments."
San Francisco-based supply chain security firm Socket has acquired Danish vulnerability scanning engine Coana. Socket stated, "This acquisition significantly strengthens Socket’s platform and positions Socket as the clear market leader in modern Software Composition Analysis (SCA)."
KPMG has acquired the technology and intellectual property of data search and discovery platform Metaphor. The professional services firm says the acquisition "underscores KPMG's commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology and AI to drive value and innovation for its clients."
Investments and exits.
Boston-based identity security company Push Security has raised $30 million in a Series B round led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Datadog Ventures and B3 Capital. The company says the funding "will accelerate Push’s growth, fueling innovation and global expansion."
Miami-headquartered SaaS security company Reco has secured $25 million in funding from Insight Partners, Zeev Ventures, boldstart ventures, Angular Ventures, and new investor Redseed. Reco "intends to leverage the new funding towards scaling its AI-native SaaS security platform, while accelerating channel partnerships and capitalizing on its ongoing market momentum."
Palo Alto, California-based browser detection and response firm SquareX has raised $20 million in Series A funding led by SYN Ventures, with participation from existing investor Peak XV Partners.
Maryland-based identity protection startup AuthMind has raised $19.3 million in a seed round led by Cheyenne Ventures, with participation from Black Opal Ventures, K2 Access Fund, the Jefferies Family Office, Silver Buckshot Ventures, and Blu Venture Investors, and existing investors Ballistic Ventures and IBM. The company says the funding "enables greater acceleration of go-to-market operations and product innovations within the award-winning AuthMind Identity Protection Platform."
New York-based phishing awareness training company Jericho Security has raised $15 million in Series A funding led by Era Fund, with participation from Dash, Distique, Fog, Gaingels Enterprise, Gaingels AI, HENRY, Lux Capital, Metalab, Plug & Play, and Textbook.
Connecticut-based software supply chain security firm Manifest has raised $15 million in a Series A round led by Ensemble VC, with additional support from AE Ventures, First Round Capital, Homebrew, Leap435, Overmatch VC, and XYZ, SecurityWeek reports.
Tampa, Florida-based scam detection technology provider Scamnetic has secured $13 million in Series A funding led by Roo Capital, with participation from 1st and Main Growth Partners, SaaS Ventures, and Riptide Ventures. The company stated, "Scamnetic will use the funds to support continued growth with additional marketing, sales and customer support functions and accelerate its product roadmap in response to increasing global demand. Scamnetic customers will benefit from an enhanced core feature set, stronger global coverage and deeper support throughout the customer lifecycle."
New York-based secure enterprise browser extension provider LayerX has added $11 million to its Series A round, bringing the round's total funding to $37 million. The additional funding was led by Jump Capital, with continued participation from initial investors Glilot Capital Partners and Dell Technologies Capital.
Berlin-based identity governance company Cakewalk has raised $7.5 million in a seed round led by Kindred Capital and Vertex Ventures US.
San Diego-based threat prevention company Augur has raised $7 million in seed funding led by General Advance. The company says the "funding will be used to expand the development of its industry-first predictive threat prevention platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor global internet activity, profile attacker behaviors, and map attack infrastructure."
Norwegian cybersecurity awareness training platform provider Pistachio has secured $7 million in a Series A round led by Walter Ventures, with participation from Angel Invest, Idékapital, J12 Ventures, and MP Pensjon. The company will use the funding to expand across Europe and the US, with a new office in Valencia opening this month.
Maryland-headquartered attack surface management company SixMap has raised $7 million in a funding round led by IAG Capital Partners, with participation from TRE Advisors and existing investors DataTribe and California Innovation Fund. The company says the funding "will support aggressive go-to-market expansion, product innovation, and team growth."
Atlanta-based autonomous user security firm Amplifier Security has raised $5.6 million in an oversubscribed seed round led by TechOperators. The company says the funding "will accelerate Amplifier’s growth as the company expands its platform and customer footprint."
Spanish fraud prevention startup Acoru has emerged from stealth with €4 million (US$4.5 million) in seed funding from Adara Ventures and Athos Capital. The company is preparing for a Series A round next year. The company stated, "As a European company with a growing presence in the Americas, Acoru plans to use the funding to continue its international expansion."
San Francisco-based agentic AI security operations platform provider Kenzo Security has emerged from stealth with $4.5 million in funding from The General Partnership and Michael Coates. The company says the "funding will be used to grow Kenzo's engineering and sales teams to meet early customer demand and to expand the platform's capabilities while preserving the depth and precision of each specialized security function."
North Carolina-based autonomous agentic AI defense platform Sevii has closed a pre-seed funding round led by Overline, with participation from 10VC and SaaS Ventures. The company says the funding "will accelerate platform development, go-to-market execution, and expansion of Sevii's growing team of AI engineers and cybersecurity veterans."
Executive moves.
KnowBe4 has appointed Bryan Palma as president and CEO, effective May 5th. The company's founder and current CEO Stu Sjouwerman will serve as executive chairman, focusing on the company's artificial intelligence innovation efforts.
BeyondTrust has appointed Sean Malone as Chief Information Security Officer.
Tenable has named Eric Doerr as Chief Product Officer.
Cyera has hired Sol Rashidi as Chief Strategy Officer for Data and AI.
