California-based data communications security firm Kiteworks (formerly "Accellion") has acquired Amsterdam-headquartered email security solution provider Zivver. Kiteworks stated, "The acquisition will result in the integration of Zivver’s AI-enabled secure email capabilities into Kiteworks’ Private Data Network that unifies and secures email, file sharing and collaboration, SFTP, managed file transfer (MFT), enterprise AI, and web forms into one platform." Zivver added, "Through this acquisition, Zivver will expand its private data exchange portfolio with sovereign data solutions deployable on-premises, in private cloud, or public cloud environments. This strengthens Zivver’s ability to address the increasing demand among European governments and enterprises for more flexible and sovereign secure data exchange capabilities. At the same time, the acquisition enables Zivver to introduce its solutions to new markets worldwide."
Palo Alto, California-based data management and security firm Rubrik has agreed to acquire San Francisco-based agentic AI startup Predibase. The terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but CNBC cites a source as saying Rubrik will pay somewhere between $100 million and $500 million. Rubrik stated, "Integrating Predibase will expand the work to secure and deploy GenAI applications that Rubrik is doing today with Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, and Google Agentspace."
Washington, DC-headquartered cybersecurity performance management company TDI has acquired Alexandria, Virginia-based cybersecurity specialist Gray Tier Technologies. TDI stated, "Gray Tier’s expertise spans Cyber Strategy, Cloud & Network Security, Digital Forensics & Incident Response, Zero Trust Architecture, DevSecOps, Offensive and Defensive Cybersecurity, and SOC-as-a-Service (SOCaaS), significantly broadening TDI’s already comprehensive cyber capabilities and empowering clients to meet evolving threats head-on."
New Jersey-based managed IT services provider Integris has acquired New York-headquartered MSSP TechMD and its security division, 1nteger Security. Integris stated, "This strategic acquisition is its largest to date and signifies the next pivotal milestone in Integris' continued evolution by expanding the company's innovative solutions and services that drive digital maturity for small to midsize businesses."
Investments and exits.
San Francisco-based open device management company Fleet has secured $27 million in a Series B round led by Ten Eleven Ventures, with participation from CRV, Open Core Ventures, Moonfire Ventures, and angel investors including Sid Sijbrandij, Guillermo Rauch, Christof Baumgärtner, Balaji Parimi, Ryan Noon, and Kevin Mahaffey. The company says the funding will accelerate the development and adoption of its device management platform.
Connecticut-based business continuity and disaster recovery platform provider Slide has raised $25 million in a Series A round led by Base10 Partners, with participation from Outsiders Fund and Top Down Ventures. The company stated, "The funding will be used to scale Slide’s platform development and operations to meet the surging demand for its modern BCDR solution. As part of its expansion strategy, Slide is also announcing its imminent launch into Canada, including its new Canadian Data Center, effective immediately."
Luxembourg-based OSINT data analysis platform provider Tadaweb has raised $20 million in a funding round led by Arsenal Growth and Forgepoint Capital International, with participation from existing investor Wendel. Tadaweb says the funding "will advance the company's momentum, supporting product development and recruiting top talent as Tadaweb continues its worldwide expansion and go-to-market across public and private sectors."
Executive moves.
Blackpoint Cyber has named Gagan Singh as its new CEO, while the company's founder Jon Murchison will serve as Executive Chairman.
Proofpoint has appointed Tom Corn as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the company's Threat Protection Group.
Tanium has appointed Tara Ryan as Chief Marketing Officer.
Checkmarx has named Scott Gainey as Chief Marketing Officer.
Dispersive has added Dr. Roy Bryan Stoker to its board of advisors.
