Mountain View, California-based cybersecurity firm SentinelOne has agreed to acquire Israeli generative AI security firm Prompt Security for $250 million, CTech reports. The company stated, "The deal is part of SentinelOne’s strategy to extend its AI-native Singularity™ Platform to secure the rapidly growing use of generative (GenAI) and agentic AI in the workplace."
Boston-based software security company Root has acquired Florida-headquartered open-source supply chain security firm Kosai. Root has also appointed Alexander Gallagher, previously Chief Growth Officer at Kosai, as its new VP of Partnerships. The company stated, "This acquisition reinforces Root’s commitment to enhancing our ecosystem. Customers and partners will benefit from strengthened capabilities, broader coverage, and seamless integrations as Root continues to build strategic collaborations across the industry."
Washington, DC-headquartered corporate network visibility provider Sayari has acquired Israeli third-party risk management company Mirato. Sayari stated, "This strategic acquisition unites Sayari’s robust global commerce graph with Mirato’s leading AI-based TPRM technology, laying the foundation for a comprehensive, integrated risk management solution that will revolutionize the quality, efficiency, speed, and scale at which organizations can identify and manage third-party risk."
Canadian cyber risk assessment company Wisr AI has signed a non-binding letter of intent to acquire RiskAssure, a Michigan-based company that automates security questionnaires and third-party risk assessments. Wisr says the proposed acquisition "marks a strategic expansion of Wisr AI’s product capabilities, directly addressing a critical challenge in third-party risk workflows: the time-consuming and manual nature of security reviews."
New Zealand-headquartered cybersecurity consulting firm Bastion Security Group has acquired Australian MSSP Cythera. Cythera says Bastion "will now have more than 150 cybersecurity professionals and more than 400 enterprise clients across Australia and New Zealand."
Investments and exits.
New Jersey-based identity and authentication company 1Kosmos has secured $57 million in a Series B round led by Forgepoint Capital and Origami's Oquirrh Ventures, with participation from Craig Abod, founder and president of Carahsoft, NextEra Energy Ventures, Gula Tech Adventures, and the 1Kosmos management team. The company says it "will use the funds to advance product innovation, accelerate global expansion by scaling direct and channel sales across North America, EMEA, and APAC, and deepen technology integrations with leading IAM, CIAM, PAM, and zero trust platforms."
Philadelphia-based robotic security firm FORT has secured an additional $18.9 million for its Series B round, bringing the company's total funding to $60.5 million. The new funding was led by Tiger Global, with participation from new and existing investors.
Israeli security compliance automation firm Vendict has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Moneta VC and JAL Ventures, with participation from existing investors NFX, Cardumen Capital, Disruptive AI, and Cyber Club London.
Minneapolis-based managed security provider Ostra Security has secured a Series A extension led by General Catalyst and Rally Ventures, with participation from Jeff Cowan at CapitalFour. The extension brings the Series A round to $9.5 million. Ostra says the new capital "will accelerate hiring, deepen technical capabilities, and expand [its] tailored service model."
Indian cyber insurance firm Mitigata has raised $5.9 million in Series A funding led by Nexus Venture Partners, with continued support from Titan Capital and WEH Ventures.
Bulgarian autonomous security startup WiseBee has raised €2.1 million (US$2.4 million) in pre-Seed funding led by Frontline Ventures and BrightCap Ventures, EU-Startups reports.
New York-headquartered AI application security startup AIM Intelligence has raised $1.3 million in a Pre-A round led by Mirae Asset Capital, with participation from Bluepoint Partners, Z Venture Capital, and existing investor Mashup Ventures. The company says it will use the funding to "deepen its research capabilities, expand internationally, and push forward into new frontiers such as multimodal and embodied AI systems."
