Minneapolis-based Apple device management firm Jamf has agreed to acquire identity and access management platform Identity Automation for approximately $215 million in cash. The company stated, "With Identity Automation, Jamf will combine identity with device access in one unique solution, helping ensure secure devices and application access."
Investments and exits.
Austin, Texas-based enterprise endpoint management company NinjaOne has raised $500 million in Series C extensions from "separate tranches that were led by ICONIQ Growth and CapitalG, Alphabet’s independent investment fund, with participation from other prominent private investors." The funding brings the company's valuation to $5 billion. NinjaOne stated, "The raise will drive research and development focused on autonomous endpoint management, autonomous patching and vulnerability remediation, and expanded IT use cases that improve employee experiences with devices. The funding will also support retaining the company’s overinvestment in world-class customer support as well as provide funding for the company’s pending acquisition of SaaS backup and data protection leader Dropsuite." The company plans to acquire Dropsuite for approximately $262 million.
Palo Alto, California-based ransomware defense company Mimic has raised $50 million in a Series A round led by GV (Google Ventures) and Menlo Ventures, with participation from existing investors Ballistic Ventures, Team8, Wing Ventures, and Shield Capital. Mimic has added Kevin Mandia, who led the company as CEO until last year, to its board of directors. The company also appointed Greg Davison as Head of Revenue.
San Francisco-based developer security posture management startup Archipelo has emerged from stealth with $12 million in seed funding led by Dell Technologies Capital, with participation from Zoom CEO Eric Yuan, Andy Bechtolsheim, Bill Tai, David Weisburd (10X Capital), Gil Penchina, Ed Roman (Hack VC), Anima Anandkumar, Samsung NEXT, Nima Capital, and Sangha Capital. The company says the funding "will fuel product expansion, engineering hires, and go-to-market acceleration."
Knostic, a Virginia-based provider of access controls for generative AI tools, has raised $11 million in a funding round led by Bright Pixel Capital, with participation from new and existing investors including Silicon Valley CISO Investments (SVCI), DNX Ventures, and Seedcamp. The company says the "funding will be used to bolster Knostic's offering, supporting enterprises in their AI transformation and adding a customizable safety layer to tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and Glean."
New York-headquartered security awareness platform provider Anagram has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Madrona, with participation from existing investors General Catalyst, Bloomberg Beta, Operator Partners, and Secure Octane. The company stated, "With this new funding, Anagram will continue to enhance its AI-driven personalization engine, and launch its first AI-powered 'security agent' that provides context-aware, real-time 'nudges' that meet employees where they are, helping them make smarter decisions in the moment."
Israeli cloud security startup Aryon Security has emerged from stealth with $9 million in seed funding led by Viola Ventures and Blumberg Capital.
Santa Barbara, California-based AI-driven content moderation startup Musubi has secured $5 million in an oversubscribed seed round led by J2 Ventures, with participation from Shakti Ventures, Mozilla Ventures, and existing pre-seed investor J Ventures. The company says the funding "will be used to expand Musubi into new verticals and bring the latest AI research to market as Trust & Safety solutions."
