Israeli AI-native detection and response platform provider Artemis has emerged from stealth with $70 million in combined seed and Series A funding. The Series A was led by Felicis, with participation from existing investors First Round Capital and Brightmind. The company says the "new funding will enable Artemis to expand its engineering, research, and go-to-market teams and deepen its platform as enterprise demand accelerates."
Japanese agentic AI security firm Almure has raised $1.25 million in seed funding from Genesia Ventures, Dual Bridge Capital, and NEX-T Tokai Innovation Fund. The company plans to use the funding to strengthen its R&D and product development efforts.

Santa Clara, California-based workflow automation and management company ServiceNow has completed its acquisition of San Francisco-based cyber exposure management firm Armis. The company stated, "The acquisition extends ServiceNow's security platform into the physical and operational layers of the enterprise, adding the cyber asset intelligence foundation and business context that enterprises need to deploy agentic AI with trust and control at scale."
Utah-based MSSP Nexus IT has completed its acquisition of Manhattan-based IT consultancy Imagis. Nexus stated, "Imagis brings a strong legacy of personalized service and technical expertise in the Manhattan market. Nexus IT will integrate Imagis's team and clients into its national platform, expanding access to hyper-responsive support, advanced cybersecurity, and compliance-driven solutions."
Reston, Virginia-based BOOST LLC, a provider of back-office and compliance support services for government contractors, has acquired Rimstorm, a Herndon-based MSSP focused on CMMC Level 2 compliance. Danny Clark, CEO of BOOST and Rimstorm, stated, "Bringing Rimstorm into the BOOST family means we can now support our defense contractor clients from back-office setup through full cybersecurity certification — with experts they already know and trust. The Rimstorm team has built an exceptional capability, and we are excited to help them reach more of the contractors who need it."
Portuguese identity security provider Cloudcomputing has acquired UK-headquartered MSSP Innovate IT. Ricardo Martins, CEO of Cloudcomputing, said the deal is "an important milestone" in its international growth strategy and strengthens the company's position in the UK.
Executive moves.
Apple CEO Tim Cook is stepping down after fifteen years at the helm, to be replaced by Apple's SVP of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus, effective September 1st, 2026. Cook will transition to executive chairman of Apple’s board of directors. The company's non-executive chairman, Arthur Levinson, will become its lead independent director. Levinson stated, "On behalf of the entire board of directors, we are incredibly grateful for his countless contributions to Apple and the world, and we are thrilled he will now be executive chairman. We believe John is the best possible leader to succeed Tim and as he transitions to CEO we know his love of Apple, his leadership, deep technical knowledge, and relentless focus on creating great products will help lead Apple to an extraordinary future."
