N2K CyberWire welcomes Kim Jones as new host of CISO Perspectives podcast

N2K Networks is proud to announce the relaunch of its flagship cybersecurity leadership podcast, CISO Perspectives on the N2K CyberWire network, with veteran CISO and educator Kim Jones as the new host. Formerly known as CSO Perspectives, the podcast will debut its new season under its refreshed title in early April 2025. Jones takes the reins from Rick Howard, who retired at the end of last season after pioneering the show’s insightful discussions on cybersecurity leadership and strategy.

CISO Perspectives continues the tradition of exploring the evolving landscape of cybersecurity leadership, talent, and risk—because success in cybersecurity is about people, not just technology. Under Jones' leadership, the podcast will challenge conventional thinking on leadership, talent pipelines, and the disconnects holding the profession back. Each episode will feature candid discussions with industry leaders and insights to help cybersecurity professionals build a stronger, more resilient cyber ecosystem.

As the cybersecurity industry continues to evolve, the importance of exploring the CISO perspective has never been greater. Kim Jones brings nearly 40 years of experience in intelligence, security, and risk management to the role. Currently serving as the CISO of High Wire Networks, Jones has built, operated, and led cybersecurity programs across multiple industries. A dedicated educator, he has shaped the cybersecurity curriculum at Arizona State University, UC Berkeley, and SANS, where he teaches in the leadership track.

The first three episodes of CISO Perspectives will be widely available on all major podcast platforms starting April 2025.
